Plant Assistant & Care ("the App") is developed by Rizwan Ihsan. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Data: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique user identifier.
• Plant Data: Photos, names, care logs, watering schedules, and fertilizer records you add to the App.
• AI Interactions: Text and images you send to the Plant Expert chat are processed by OpenAI to generate responses. We do not use your data to train AI models.
• Subscription Data: Purchase receipts are verified with Apple; we store subscription status (active/expired) in our database.
• Analytics: We collect anonymous usage events (screen views, feature usage) to improve the App. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide plant care features, AI diagnostics, and personalized recommendations.
• To sync your data across your devices via your account.
• To verify and manage your subscription status.
• To improve the App based on aggregated, anonymous usage patterns.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted by Firebase Security Rules tied to your authenticated user ID.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions.
• OpenAI — AI-powered plant identification, diagnosis, and chat responses.
• Apple StoreKit — Subscription purchase and verification.

Each third-party service processes data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to operate the App.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the App's Settings screen. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email.
